There are some movies that seem magical (and I don’t just mean Harry Potter – har!)  – that help you connect to characters and make you believe in another reality. When Robin Williams died, there was such a huge outpouring of emotion because his talent brought viewers into whole new worlds of imagination and humor. On of my favorite Robin Williams movies (ah – there are so many favorites!) is Hook. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen it! Whenever I see it on tv, I will always watch it. One of the best scenes in the movie happens when Pan finally believes and uses his imagination – the food fight scene! At first all he can see is a table with empty platters and serving utensils – and through the course of a food fight, he sees splats of gorgeously colored food everywhere! It’s such a fun scene, and it inspired my food fight manicure for today’s 31 Day Challenge prompt.  Can you see it?

I began by applying two coats of OPI I Theodora You, for a pretty, sheer base. Then I used a brush to draw on the splats! Whenever I do a true splatter, the patterns end up being really small – I wanted this to look like Robin Williams just got hit in the face with a big glob of pretend food! I used Zoya Dita, ALIQUID Maybe Katie, Sparitual Indigo, and KBShimmer Shore Thing for my food fight splats. I top coated with Seche Vite, followed by one coat of Loreal Matte Top Coat.
