How about something a little more recognizable for day 2 of Decades, the Digital Dozen’s theme for May? When I think of the 80s, there are a few iconic images that come to mind, and probably none more so than a Rubik’s Cube! As a child of the 80s, I definitely had a cube – but I was not patient enough to solve one then. Although I still can’t solve them – at all – my cousin-in-law actually designs them! How cool is that? His are more complex and innovative than the classic cube, and totally inspiring!
To create this look, I started by drawing two vertical lines and two horizontal lines on each nail, creating a grid, with an It’s So Easy Striper in black. I filled in the squares with Zoya America, Zoya Purity, Zoya Pippa, Essie Fear or Desire, Essie Mint Mojito, and Essie Butler Please. I filled in the squares sort of randomly, so that it would look like my Rubik’s Cube was still mixed up but that some of the colors were starting to line up. I have to say, I love this look!
