Digital Dozen does Re-creation: Fred Flintstone

I am breaking the floral trend (I just love all florals, I can’t help it!) to do one of my favorite looks from Nails Like Lace – oh my gosh, how cute is this Fred Flintstone?! When Amber first posted this look in geometric week, I just couldn’t get over how perfect it was. The color, the shapes – I love everything about it. I don’t often do nail art in this style, and I really enjoyed recreating Amber’s amazing (fun, cute, awesome, everything) nail art. Fred Flintstone nail art!

Amber is the blogger behind Nails Like Lace. She’s one of the Digital Dozen’s newer members, and I have really loved getting to know her (although she’s newer to DD, I have been following her for quite a while!) these past few months. She’s so sweet and nice and honest – I feel like, even though we’ve never met in person, she is somebody I could really count on. Her art is lovely – oh my gosh, and her nails are perfect! I admire her amazing photo quality, too. I hope my recreation did her original look justice!

I didn’t have the same polishes as Amber, so I did my best with my own stash! I used two coats of China Glaze Home Sweet House Music. I used black acrylic paint to make the triangles and the outline of Fred’s tie. I filled the tie in with Essie Strut Your Stuff. I struggled to find a blue close enough to the tie color – I think because I put it over black, it toned down a little bit. I finished with Seche Vite.Fred Flinstone Nail Art | The Dalai Lama's NailsThis look reminded me of how fun and cute nail art can be. I’m often so serious – I LOVED this look!
