Sometimes life gives you lemons, and that stinks, and you have to make lemonade and work to be happy. I have had my fair share of those times and feelings, that’s for sure. Sometimes, though, life gives you straight up ice cream and you just want to scoop it all up and laugh and skip like a little kid. It’s difficult to know why or how, but there are those times where things seem to be so right, everything simply falling into place. Lately, I’ve had some wonderful opportunities pop up, and I’m just so excited! Over the rainbow is an interesting metaphor, isn’t it? The song makes me think of a longing for things to get better. But a clear blue sky, puffy clouds, and a beautiful spectrum of color already seems so cheerful. Enjoy some happy rainbow nail art!
I started by creating a gradient. I protected my skin with my beloved Liquid Palisade, and then applied one coat of Zoya Blue. I painted Blu, Zoya Yummy, and Essie Mesmerize onto a makeup sponged and dabbed my nail at a slight angle. I added a coat of Northern Lights holographic top coat (which I just bought, and is just fabulous!). For the clouds, I used Zoya Purity and a dotting tool. The rainbow was created with a striping brush and Zoya America, Essie Fear or Desire, Zoya Pippa, Zoya Josie, Essie Mesmerize, and Essie Play Date. Phew! That was a lot of polish!
