This is the third and final part of my Shimmer Polish review. I said it before and I’ll say it again – I simply love these polishes! I think the mixes of glitter are unlike any other I’ve seen. They have great formulas that are easy to work with. I absolutely recommend any of the polishes I’ve tried. They’re wonderful!
You know the routine. Each swatch shows three applications. The index and middle fingers are one coat of Shimmer polish layered over a base coat, and the ring and pinky fingers show three coats of Shimmer polish on its own. The ring finger shows some fun, simple nail art!
First up is Julie. I absolutely loved this gorgeous rainbow-y mix! It’s so bright and fun, and quickly stood out to me. On my index and middle fingers, she’s layered over Sation Miss Emo Shun All, and three coats alone on my ring and pinky fingers.
Next up is Lorene. Lorene has a pinkish base, and purple, pink, blue, and copper glitters. On my index and middle fingers, I’ve layered Lorene over Essie Size Matters, and three coats alone on my ring and pinky finger. You can see how nicely it built up to opacity on its own.
Kim is a beautiful blue and purple based mix of glitters, with some large and small pieces. I love the tone of this shade – it’s very cool and pretty. On my index and middle fingers, she’s layered over Essie Mesmerize, and three coats alone on my ring and pinky fingers.
Finally, we have Jacki. Jacki is a very pretty mix of fine purple glitters in a purple base, with some little bits of red and blue shining through. On my index and middle fingers, she’s layered over OPI Suzi & the 7 Dusseldorfs, and three coats alone on my ring and pinky fingers.
I still can’t get over how absolutely stunning Shimmer polishes are. They have won a coveted spot in my collection – my pretties! Do you have a favorite shade?
